Art Deco Pendant

When I first thought about designing an Art Deco inspired necklace, I was expecting it would involve the iconic sunburst motif or at least some variation of the fan shape.
But when searching through images for inspiration, I came across a pendant I could not ignore. This beauty was made in the 1920s by Van Cleef & Arpels and is made with pearls, diamonds and emeralds set in platinum. It sold at auction in 2012 for $1.83 million.

I wanted my design to follow the same general shape, whilst simplifying and enabling it to be worked in wire. I hope I have captured the essence of the original!
To make this style, I find it easiest to follow a template and I’ve reproduced mine here – it is intended to be printed at A5 size.
